HOLY. CHRISTNUGGETS.

Hi everyone!! How have you been?!? I'm so sorry it's been such a long time. I've been very busy for the last long while, with work, art, and some real life stuffs getting in the way. I pop on here every couple weekends or so to do a mass upload of my Fanart Friday stuff and go through my messages... I'm very happy you guys are sticking around, truly. So... what's been new with me?  Well, my friends and I went to Ottawa Comic Con last weekend, so that was really fun (I even dressed up as Sora! Yay!). It was my first booked Friday off since January. I need more time off of work, seriously. Hah. Went to a wedding shower for my cousin, spent some time with the Rattés and been working on non-paid commissions for gifts for people, 'cause I can't afford to buy people things anymore. Bah it sucks, but c'est ma vie. Went to see Iron Man 3 (LOVED IT!!) because I've a crap-ton of free movies on my credit card, and got some new Ninja Turtles comics. Looking forward to the 2012 series' comic adaptation in July! Hee hee.

Started taking a Body Pump class on Wednesdays at my gym. Fun as all hell but SO exhausting. I'm really hoping to lose a bit of my waistline since none of my summer pants from last year fit anymore... Probably should hold back on the baking thing... I make delicious cookies, and... they're delicious. And a bit not good for my hips, hah hah.  

I am SO happy it's the May Long weekend this weekend. I'm not doing anything special, except maybe going to see Star Trek: Into Darkness, which I REALLY want to see, but I want to use my pass I got from a coworker and you can't use passes on opening weekend... UGH. The conflict! My next booked holiday is in July, which I am SO looking forward to because I'm finally going to go see my sister. I haven't seen her at-a-length since... crap, November? December? Jess, when did I last spend a week with you? I saw her briefly in January, but  it doesn't count. Anyway, the trip in July is my "big holiday" (in which, each year I set aside a small chunk of money and am okay spending said money as my 'main holiday') so I'm hoping I can convince my sister to go away for a day or two (which won't be hard... ). We try to get out of town together every year and go to Toronto or Niagara Falls or... anywhere but Sarnia. Hah ha. My sister put the bug in my ear for Niagara Falls, so I'm thinking I want to do that this year Hee hee. It's been a few years since we went there. One of the best places in Ontario to visit, IMHO. Love it.

Hmm. Not much else really to say here. Next up...

Art Stuff

I like doing this stuff in point form, so here we go!

As I said last journal, I host a Fanart Friday over on my Google+ (Steph Ratté) and  Tumblr (stephratte.tumblr.com), and have been getting a pretty decent following because of it. I'm thinking of extending it to dA as well, so once I've cleaned out my sta.sh (I've only 10 more pics queued up there) I will be adding dA to my regular FF update! It'll probably be in Journal form, so I can keep the suggestions for FF away from the pic and exclusively to the journal. We'll see. Thinking of starting that up in June. For anyone not following me on either social network,  Fanart Friday is basically a suggestion of a character for me to draw, and then if I draw it, you get the hi-res version of it FOR FREE without watermarks or sigtext. Mainly 'cause I love drawing fanart, and it's fun discovering new characters to draw. This free art only extends to FF. That's it, and only if I feel like drawing the character.

I AM OPEN FOR COMMISSIONS.</i> My rent is going up in July and I am VERY desperate for additional cash flow. Note me for more info. Marker coloured Bust illustrations start at $10, full body character cel-shaded starts at 25$. Canadian Dollars and Paypal only please!

Please, do not hesitate to suggest or add my art to groups! I am honoured and humbled if my stuff get suggested to groups! I try a lot to submit my own stuff but can't because most submissions are only open to members of said groups. As well, I often forget to submit my pics to my normal groups, so you guys suggesting them makes me happy!
