Fanart Friday for April 4, 2014 [ TUMBLR POST ]
Yeah, so... haven't had a lot of time during the week I did this one, (and was having SERIOUS art block) so I decided to finish up a Bobble hat Sherlock digital ink pic I did a couple weeks prior to this (which you can see on my Tumblr HERE ). I'm still a novice at digital colouring, so please excuse the ickiness of it, LOL. UGH, and OMG, his head is so tiny, oy. The only thing I really like is the texture on the hair... it's the only thing I'm really good at digital colouring, LOL. Hat was fun though, but it took a LOT of willpower to not use the blur tool... I don't know why but I always have to blur everything.... I think the wet brushes look much nicer but it's something I have a hard time getting away from...
Anyway, love Sherlock in a bobble hat, but mine has far too much hair for season 3 Sherlock... LOL. WINGS!! hah hah. So many things wrong with it, but I hope y'all like it anyway. Any constructive tips for colouring is appreciated
I know the drawing looks bad, but I wasn't taking it all too seriously. Had lots of fun with this, trying to discover my comfort zone and playing with the nibs on my Wacom pen. Discovered I like the felt nib
